Lessons learned from Irma Rescue channels on Zello.

From monitoring many Zello emergency rescue accounts, I have learned that this could be a great tool for the future for people in disaster situation (If they have Internet capability)

I thought I would share a prep list for those Whom desire to assist their fellow man in tumultuous times.

Zello has provided a service that allows one to talk to a group or privately (Even encrypted) with Whom they like to. In Harvey, it was used for those Whom needed help or rescue when their primary Civil Support services were not available.

In disaster, you do not know what kind of communications you will have. Cell towers, main line phone lines, cable service, Internet, Satellite communications, and even 911 could fail to be available. It could leave one with only CB and HAM operators to rely upon.

During and after these storms, many were without such ability and the Interet was the only way to communicate. Hence Zello filled the void. For may, they just wanted to chat with others to not feel so alone. For some, it was the only lifesaving tool they had.

Some ISP Providers like Spectrum and Xfinity did, to the best of their ability, provide emergency free Internet service where they could. Kudos to you for that.

Having introduced the context, I wanted to present you with a Prep list that presents you with an avenue on how you may contribute, and how to keep out of trouble with the Internet of things.

1.First mission is information flow. Inform and coordinate with Local, State, and Federal Authorities prior to sending someone into any situation – if at all possible. For dispatchers, phone is the finest weapon you have.

As a Civilian, you are merely and augmentation service or force. The State and Local Officials are your primary support group. In cases they are over-loaded, they may ask one of your groups for help but that rarely, if ever, happens. It is question of Liability few Government officials will want to address in the fog of a real event.

Duplicate calls, duplicate rescues, and mass confusion can lead to life threatening situations if the channels are repetitive. I learned some of what I tell you here from the Cajun Navy as they have been at this awhile. They have tried to provide an example of Private Civil Augmentation.

You have to be “Trusted” to talk on their network channels which means, you fill out the form to volunteer. After which, you get passwords. Being a Non-Profit, they would like to maintain their 5013C status. This means accountability must be up-held. In fact, your information has to be cleared through the Department of Homeland Security.

2. Verification. I observed several possible pranks or traps coming over channel. Once you verify it is an actual person in an actual flooded area that does not intend to rob you or worse. There are always a few bad faith calls.

Which leads us to

3. Privatization of service. This is set by Infrastructure Categories.

4. Channel control. You will want separate channels for functioning separation of information. Many rescue groups have a main chat room where everything is handled. This is not Kosher. All the jackals and jokers come about in an Emergency situation not recognizing that If you do interfere with a rescue, you may be sent to Prison.

You never have enough dispatchers

Take your calls separate from the room with friend request to verify and if they are pranking, kick them out of the room

Have separate, encrypted channels for private information.

Never let people know where supplies, water, food, or gas is going over public channels. This is how you get raided. Also Coordinate with local Authority when shipping such things.

Try to moderate your volume to %80 percent. Some calls you can barely hear, some will wake everyone up in your neighborhood.

Keep weather checks and regular info on other channels than your work channels. Anything you can get from weather channel or AM radio in your car. This information may be useful on the ground for rescuers, but it is of no use for a rescue channel when people are asking for a weather check every 3 minutes.

Keep the channels clear. Block and report abuse. Separate the chatter. Gotta keep them separated.

5. For those on the ground who need verbal communication, the following resources are available Dispatchers:

Local water treatment plants

local chemical company plants

Local food market corporate sites (Distro – disribution info if they post it)

6. As a moderator. seeking clarity of information is the key. You can be the straw that stirs the drink, or the one that breaks the chain. Some operators having stress have time and need to blow off steam with their fellows. So, when OPTEMPO slows down, let them know each-other and chat. But if emergency comes about it is “BREAK – Clear Channel”.

Give them ten seconds to speak and block them. Yet be cautious, few may be real, but they can go to one of the main popular rooms to ask.

7. Access: HUBS. You are looking for a way to somewhere, and always looking for a direct path at expense.

But what if you were traveling somewhere and got stuck at the airport? You ask where the nearest HUB is to get you closer to destination. Sometimes, flying (Or driving, or via Train or rickshaw or whatever) is better than waiting in airports. Buses and trains, private planes, Mariner charter, Cruise Ships! Support them too! Any logistic line is safe haven.

Buses, Trains, Uber, Lyft, Airbnb could find a place a block away. Do not discount Local Militias.

If you are Legit, someone needs to perk an ear up. But if you clog LOGISTIC Trains or get in the way of even the Local Sheriff, you are in the wrong unless you can stress test your case.

7. Record what you do. You can take screen shots and pictures. If you called 911, you are going to want to remember when. Sometimes calls go UN-answered so you will want to be able to show something.

8. Sheltering. They will not be checking immigration status at shelter but they may check for warrants, naturally. They will also want to know if your pets have been vaccinated.

9. Be creative. Does someone attached to machines need to be evacuated when the power goes out? Or could you just bring them a generator.

The Elderly could require a range of specialized equipment. Sometimes contacting the manufacturer helps to get equipment where it needs to go.

Baby formula, diapers, and dog food always run low in these events and as always – Fuel.

Casual Conversations from Paradise

In this week alone, I have had the privilege to sit and have long conversations with two major defense contractors, a medical care professional in anesthesiology, a royal Marine who knew his shit and ours, a Quiet Soldier who has seen much pain,a high ranking sports official, a major developer, an awesome guy that worked area aviation, a high level banker, and some other people most never get to talk to in an average week. I will not mention their professions.

This happens almost every week with different professionals from across the board.

I have the luxury of watching professionals on twitter defuse major issues in half a day, even if half of you block or hate me. I still learn from you.

Sharing of expert power is a powerful thing and we need it now more than ever in this dumbed down world.

Where I AM is a place where the table teaches me almost every night and that is invaluable.
I want to thank all of you for opening up to teach me things I could never learn without you. I Am humbled and thankful for the time you took with me to explain things.

I could have no greater gift than understanding how these things are run by your generous experience and time you took to learn me.

These are things all Adults need to have an idea about, but the intimate knowledge I have obtained here is something some could only wish to pay for.

I could only hope Elders will always share such knowledge with Young Men like myself, especially those that are curious.

I would never trade what I have learned here from My Elders here for anything. I only Pray I may help someone else along the way with what you have paid for or been patient for me  to learn.
I AM working very hard to pass what I may and to give back what I have been given here to preserve OUR shared Civilization and maybe encourage others to seek more.

I also want to give more given the correct circumstance shall such opportunity present itself.

If you are going to collapse anyway, it’s going to be Capitalism anyway. May as well find trading partners now.

Instead of focusing on Behemoth, end all – be all government daddys, arrange for the society that will emerge anyways and it shall alleviate a-lot of pain right in the future. Find your trading people.

Go to the Town hall, go to the community meetings, PTA, get your localities known before the balloon goes up! Find some friends so you may make the support network back home again. It may alleviate crime and  help the LEO’s too.

Be pioneers in the hood. Find some decent people if you can and bond – and talk to each-other.

This is for the 1% #tcot #professionals and All in the TRUE struggle.

Sometimes, I see people take enjoyment in things that please me greatly.
Leadership is a qualitative feature and I enjoy greatly it’s application when done
correctly. This is an example of apparent quality.

I have taken note of a non-traditional example through a movie and an
additional furtherance of it’s plot to bring something that was pleasing to the
forefront when they were good ideas.

In the movie, a dry and un-interesting make up of the song was presented with steady graduation three times.

And then I saw him do it again. He took the same thing and made it world class by
confidence, planning, changing, and showing what is behind the puppet. Ergo, he made a
creshendo.

It is niche, and if you do it well enough, you may just make someones day and money to
boot. This is how people are sucessful in America. They become the best in what they do.
And endearing interaction with the audience and the crew shows acknowledgement and thankfulness for what they do And the voice is good!

It’s a corny video. It was also so very well professionally done.
What I saw were some people that were having the time of their lives doing something they spent their heart into making. Is see this kind of quality in many people, places, and things. It is Passion.

It’s hard out there, Man.
People are all still getting up and dealing with it though.

Conservative principles and discernment #tcot #governance

It is the duty of every adult to educate himself, to discern between right and wrong. The truth is not subjective, that is a childish notion.

In order to learn, you must first develop a process. It is called a thought process. This is done by using deductive logic, reason, and life experience. If this process is not used, you are unable to discern.

Without discernment, you are not an adult. You are merely a child or a sheep. If you are un-prepared to collect information that seems counter to what you believe, than you are simply unable to learn.

I AM watching one of my favorite Nations unravel due to the lack of fundamental truth in doctrine. Corrupt doctrine has permeated every level of our society. From Education to governance to religion. Never before have I seen so many stupid people in charge of this Nations power. And believe me, they are very stupid. Unbelievably stupid.

I urge you to take a look at these Ten principles from the Russel Kirk Center in order to help provide clarity.

It may be helpful in your moral pursuit in the spirit of the LAW.

Now that I thrashed you on the last post, let me tell you what I believe about Americans.

We are Americans. Hold no race, color, or creed, other than trying to make our lives and our Neighbors lives better.

I am fundamentally proud of MY Countrymen as they are able to eventually make the correct decisions. Americans are faithful. They can be thorough if their lives depend on it. We are resourceful and have enough brainpower to last four more centuries. I have seen genius generosity and industriousness and hope to see more in the next few years.

Don’t let it get you down. And do not think for one second that you are alone or stupid. WE are waking up and reading. Self education is half of the war, these are only battles we fight.

Following a read of Walter Russel Meads column, it is to be said that this country has the rarest opportunity to change for the better.  With all of the current pessimism underfoot, it is likely that Americans will open their minds to more bold solutions than the draconian traditions of populist politics (#FAIL). There are options available but I am sure you are tired of my ranting about Herman Cain.

But you never know. It may be possible to open a new Century for this country versus becoming like France, except with worse food. Or Argentina – always trying to get back up.

America, please give me something I would like next year.

Men with big ego’s will destroy this nation. You see them, you know where and who they are. We have let them lead us into destruction with antiquated vision and frankly I Am incensed. It is very dangerous to treat the nations helm as a popularity contest. Well, I propose an alternative now.

A very well vetted and squeaky clean candidate for the US Presidential election. My horse in this race is Herman Cain. The best part is he does not wear a rats nest on his head or use double speak. His language is plain and simple enough for people to understand, and his understanding of the issues is of a very complex nature – proven with the second video of him challenging Bill Clinton during a town hall meet. For years I have listened to him and I swear he was speaking my mind.

I hand picked some of his speeches in the order of what I believe to be importance. Please consider him because it is more important to pick the right candidate now than ever and he has my trust:

06/04 – Being CEO for National Restaurants Association is more of an executive position than most people think. See this video from a darn good artist. Cains Plan!

Part one:With his two part plan, he sets the country up for immediate economic resurgence.

1) Lower the corporate tax rate to 25 percent from 35 percent. Cain said the US is the only country to not have lowered the corporate tax rate in the last 15 years.

2) Take the capital gains tax rate to zero. Cain said it would encourage investments in US businesses and create jobs.

3) Take the tax rate on the repatriation of foreign profits for US companies to zero. Cain said this money, currently around $1 trillion for US companies, isn’t coming back anyway because of existing taxes on repatriating them. Taking away that tax would encourage investments in US businesses and create jobs.

4) Cut the entire 6.2 percent payrolls tax for workers and employers for 1 year. Cain said it would give American workers a 6.2 percent pay raise and “guarantee” that the US economy grows faster. Cain believes smart tax cuts like these are self-financing, meaning they’ll pay for themselves by stimulating the economy and raising the tax revenues.

5) Make the tax rates permanent or indefinite. Cain said uncertainty on tax rates is “killing investments” in the US economy. Debt ceiling- no vote. Pay only the debt interest and the military. (He mentioned 3 but I didn’t get the 3rd.) Part Two – Once conditions of success are sold to the Public and are working: – Drill here and drill now for our own Natural resources – time to pay ourselves. – Fair Tax – Repeal ‘Obamacare’ and replace it with a more patient-centered legislation. – Cut government spending across the board, then drill down and eliminate wasteful programs and agencies. – Change Social Security to something similar to the Chilean model of personal retirement account option. General ideas, yes. Ideas Americans may understand? Also yes. 09/23/11 – Where did this 999 plan come from anyway? I am still with you, but having me fill out tax forms is just a no go anymore. You would sound far more bold if you had stuck with your original plan. 999 plan is better than what we have now, but you still need to repeal the 16h Amendment, and if you plan to do that, than may as well go for the Holy Grail and institute H.R (P.R) -52. Herman swears that the national sales tax is merely gearing the nation towards the fair tax – a transition if you will. Herman really needs to touch up on his foreign policy, some things are not insignificant. Also, a suggestion for Herman on the 999 plan. 10/15/11 – Denninger weighs in. Interesting part is here: ” What Cain is missing (and perhaps intentionally; if so he’s a jackass, not a savior) is that saving 15% of your income is more than sufficient, along with a modest help from Social Security and Medicare, to self-fund your entire retirement from savings alone.  That is, it requires no risk-taking in the “capital markets.”  There’s only one condition on this: The Federal Government and The Fed must be forced to stop debasing the currency — that is, they must run a zero inflation policy under penalty of imprisonment (or worse.)  If Cain supports this, then he’s a reformer.  If he does not, he’s simply playing politics and intends to screw you blind via hidden taxation.” Do not forget that this is meant as a transitional plan to the Fair Tax. If we have 3 quarters of 5.5% or more growth, the growth could shorten that number. Revenues go up as does that calculation so it actually makes sense. The wild card of course is the incredible regulation and lawfare taking effect currently. Anything,  is better than what we have now.

10/16/11 – From what I remember, the TARP program was meant to identify and separate the government loans that the government forced upon the banks and relieve them of that responsibility. I think they took Cain out of context because I clearly remember him speaking about returning the banks to private hands after the process was finished. Anyway, He must defend this case. 10/17/11 – Cain said the most thoughtful things on the worst “news media” channel in America. NRO bashes his 9-9-9 plan. Economic collapse takes a shot at the plan too. Herman Cain responds. Talk upon the plan in relation to the “99%” 10/18/11 – Remembering Cain at the Kansas City Federal Reserve. Does not sound bad to me. Also, if you use a race card in your political existence, remember you must pay interest.  Art Laffer likes Cains 9-9-9 plan. Even the poor need to have skin in the tax game. Maybe then they will vote for people that will keep the rate low. There is not reason to give a freeloader a free ticket to ride on other peoples backs. Also, Herman Cains donations to political figures explained. What has not been explained is that Cains plan helps the working class more than any plan. The black market becomes legal. It is there, it helps the poor in barter – just what we need now. It is all being done there anyway.

America is an anomaly.

These advanced societies are never, ever, the same after collapse. No Nation ever recovers from Collapse. Needless to say, no Nation every really recovered from Islam or Socialism either.

The United States of America is both the most “New” and Old. In fact, America has held it’s government as a Nation State in tact longer than any other nation planetary.

This Nation, Our Neighborhoods are blessed with people and friends from every country on earth. All walks of life. Tolerance yet plurality. We are the United Nations; In so being, we also have family all over the world so we are aware, gravely aware of the plights of others. We do so almost at a point of absurdity lavish more credit than due, and forgive the unforgivable. So is the nature of kind hearted people who really do want to save the world – but dedicate so little time researching how.

Lawfare by regulation leads to Institutional insanity; Be it by shutting a country down to pray five times a day, or forcing your people to face federal penalty for installing the wrong type of flush toilet. No difference yet this tiny simple thing – in Islam, the law is pretty damn simple. In America, no one knows what it is anymore. And Islam sucks so much more than this. When systems break down, something fills their place. Where do you think our nation is going after order breaks down?

What some would force upon us are dire straits.
I will tell you what I know, I swore an Oath. This is not servitude, it is personal protection. I also expect my leaders to comform to their proper duties as protectorate of the law, not spreaders of new tarrif and criminilization. The waves of Judicial punishment are uneven and tides change with appointments.
Many compounding legal issues for anyone whom has the gall to start a business in this time.

As leaders, how may you be so dismissive of people and their families that you think you can answer all of their needs? They are Individual Human Beings with GOD given rights. Just because you think you “lead” does not mean you are competent in their lives for their needs. Most people are more intelligent than to run for national office and decide to make money and take care of their families. Nothing wrong with that. People should have less animus with the real people that pay for their benefits and employ them than a federal government that will deprive them of both.
Never is government the Creator of anything. The Nation of America was Founded by Puritans and Protestants. They loved their God more than their King in a way that allowed them to do more in less than 200 years, what no other nation has ever been able to do, and in many cases, saved many, many, many lives.

We are at war, America is at the mall.

Romans lounged around starbucks smoking their hash and drinking wine until they were red. They were talking about the shows and paid no mind to the collapse they faced. It almost allowed the “Calaphate” enough breathing room to almost destroy any legacy of LAW From Alexandria to Vienna.

The populace was not engaged with the world they lived in. They were isolated and did not give thought to the threats that faced them. If there could be one thing un-educated people hate the most, it would be education.

Advocate for a tree. A tree that may grow and bear fruit with strong roots in the soil. A tree that has Liberty to grow withought surrounding trees confining it’s growth or compartmentalizing it’s strengths. A tree that others can build off of, with strength and flexibility. Providing a free way of trade whereas everyone may enjoy the shade or fruit of the tree; no matter whom you may be.  A difference of Cedars and pines. Or even poplars. You may have anything that you want, BUT you must pay for it.

Capitalism knows no race, religion, or sex. It is the engine that provides for people and it is supposed to be amoral. The wealthy have no power over you but an all powerful federal government does. For every rich man you kill, 100 poor shall go hungry. The wealthy are the friend of the poor – and one day, they do not have to be poor; Liberty, self determination, intestional fortitude, honesty, candor, commitment. This is test of mettle of a Good Nation. Shouting on the rooftops.

The wealthy support far more than their own tribe. The wealthy allow others to climb ladders. With-ought whom, there would be no jobs. No one to fund this leviathan government. No way to lend money to people that need to make their family’s work. No way to fund these inefficient programs.

This has been a good nation. And as such has been treated well, on the ground as well as in the air. Were ten simple Laws and a collar on the government too much to handle? If you cannot handle your animal then you have two options. Train it or put it down.

No country on the planet has been put through what Japan has been put through.

Please express to Japan that no country on this planet has had a 9.0 earthquake, a Tsunami, a volcano blast, and a nuclear meltdown. All at the same time.

Japan has done an awesome job handling this impossible situation. The blue jackets were right there as well as the orange jackets to fix what could be fixed. On site and ready within hours. Did anything humanly possible. Risked life and limb to defend that country from carnage no one may have foretold.

There is no shame in recovering the way the Japanese have – they are awesome. No leaders and no pros have ever been put against such a mammoth task in world history. So, We must make sure that Japan knows they did more than all they could, and saved many lives. I believe that Tokyo needs to know that they are not in blame, and have our full support. Japan made a disaster look orderly like they always do 🙂

Logistics are a mess and will take time to sort – embrace the suck.

Do not allow the the message of a power plant stall your thinking in how well this government and citizens acted in this disaster. The Leadership did all possible to make sure their people were safe. I see no failure other than the reporting – and this again, is traditional non panic.

Lost a-lot of fine people in this last disaster.

For a country that has won against Godzilla, the US, and two other nukes, I think you shall fare well in the long term. Every time Japan is ripped down, it is built better than before. You kicked mortal ass as far as it may be kicked, and resilience is now the middle word for Japan. Kick ass ninjas as from all time.
Please relay that there is absolutely no shame in this tough time.

What there is for me is a gleaming feeling of Proud, and everyone from Japan should feel this as well.

The biggest problem, gear. If you have never ran down a draw with a 65 pound rucksack and a rifle in your hands with gear vest and water and a Kevlar helmet, you missed the best parts of young adulthood. Sliding down rocky surfaces, climbing over boulders and walls. You may look like robo-cop, but you are a tortoise in a world of hares. It’s dangerous.

In a helmet, you lose a-lot of pierifery vision and hearing. Being alert is half the battle. Mandatory battle gear is a killer.

The world heading in a better direction

I have a strange and glorious feeling of much weight being removed in the past month or so. I literally feel it and have been in a pleasant mood the past few days because of it. This is great because 2010 was the worst  ass eating year in history where as actions are concerned.

I see some fiscal sanity returning to that criminally insane sewage factory that is Washington DC. That crappy bureaucrats wet dream health control bill was repeald in the house. Animal farm delayed for another year or so. We shall see.

Tator Tot has declared he will tone it down. We shall see.

AF/Pak plan to hold a Jirga.

China has decided to invest in the Gulag known as NORK to relieve some pressure. Ergo, our forces reduced alert level. They also said they wont nuke us first. Whatever.

Even the Copts are getting protection on this Christmas day.
